Our Family Vacation to Williamsburg, VA and Washington, DC

Caleb has always been a history buff. Very patriotic from the beginning, he's had a collection of American flags since he was a toddler. When I asked him a year or two ago where he'd like to go on vacation someday, he answered "to the National Archives or The Library of Congress." What??? No Disneyland? Isn't that the typical kid response? Not my son, little braniac science nut. He wanted to see The Declaration of Independence in person. His favorite movie of all time is National Treasure. I waited until we were on the plane to tell him we were not taking any lemon juice to the museum. ;)
We did all of the typical tourist stuff, including riding around historical DC in the top of the double decker bus. Caleb loved every bit of it; every monument, every artifact. But the best part was saved for last...The Declaration. We had to go through the line 3 times to view it before we left. I call that photo "True Happiness."
